Self-Reflection – Week 9 (22/09/2025 to 25/09/2025)

 This week I took three classes in Chemistry for 9D. My lessons focused on strengthening students’ conceptual understanding and encouraging participation through questioning and discussion. I made use of simple examples and explanations to link the concepts with daily life, which helped in better comprehension. I observed improved attentiveness from the majority of the class, though a few students still required individual guidance.

On 25th September, Arts Day was conducted in the school. I actively took part in assisting with the program and experienced the importance of co-curricular activities in nurturing creativity and talents in students. Balancing classroom teaching with school events gave me insights into the holistic role of a teacher.

Overall, this week enriched both my classroom teaching experience and my involvement in school activities, making me more confident in my role as a teacher trainee.

Self-Reflection – Week 8 (15/09/2025 to 19/09/2025)

 During this week of teaching practice, I had the opportunity to take three classes—one in 8B (Physics) and two in 9D (Chemistry). The class in 8B focused on physics concepts, where I used real-life examples and simple demonstrations to make the topic more relatable for the students. Their active participation and curiosity motivated me to improve my presentation and questioning techniques.In 9D chemistry, I handled two lessons where I tried to connect abstract concepts with daily-life applications. I noticed that while most students were attentive, a few required extra support to grasp the ideas. This gave me a chance to refine my strategies by incorporating more illustrations, interactive questioning, and reinforcement activities.Overall, this week helped me strengthen my confidence in managing different subjects across classes. I realized the importance of adapting teaching methods to suit the level of learners. The experience encouraged me to prepare better teaching aids and diversify my approaches to ensure all students remain engaged and benefit equally from the lessons.

Self-Reflection (Week 7: 10/09/2025 – 12/09/2025)

 During this week of my teaching practice, I had the opportunity to take a class in 9D on the 10th of September. The class was engaging, and I focused on maintaining effective classroom interaction and ensuring the lesson objectives were met. On the 11th and 12th, the school conducted its Annual Sports Day celebrations, where I actively participated by assisting in organizing events, guiding students, and supporting teachers in the smooth conduct of the programme. This experience helped me realize the importance of teachers’ involvement not only in academic activities but also in co-curricular programmes for holistic student development. Overall, the week was a blend of academic and extracurricular exposure that enriched my teaching practice experience.
