Weekly Self-Reflection (B.Ed Teaching Practice – July 21 to July 26, 2025)
This week, I got a chance to take three Chemistry classes for Standard 9D. My first class was on July 21 during the third period. I introduced the topic using simple examples and asked questions to help students understand better. On July 23, I took two back-to-back periods (third and fourth). In these classes, I explained the chapter in more detail with the help of diagrams, student discussions, and group activities to keep the students interested and involved.
From these classes, I learned how to manage time while teaching, handle the class properly, and check if students were understanding the topic. I understood the need to prepare well and adjust my teaching style when some students needed easier explanations or more time. I am slowly becoming more confident in teaching and in answering students’ questions with patience.Overall, this week helped me improve how I talk and connect with the class. It also gave me a chance to use in real life what I learned in theory.
This week, I also took part in co-curricular activities. I helped serve food during the midday meal program and made sure everything was clean and organized. I also helped conduct a quiz program, which helped students think more, take part actively, and work together as a team with more confidence. And this week there is a movie show.I participated in this too.
